Texas Super Lawyers Select Dan Guthrie for 2021 Honors

On Behalf of | Sep 22, 2021 | Firm News

Martindale-Hubbell AV-Preeminent rated attorney Dan C. Guthrie, Jr. has once again been named to the annual list of Texas Super Lawyerfor his work in white collar criminal defense following his selection to The Best Lawyers in America earlier this year.

An authority on white collar criminal cases, Mr. Guthrie publishes The White Collar Defense Report®, which provides a rundown of the prosecution priorities at the Department of Justice. He has a track record of speaking with the media to provide insights on high-profile white-collar crimes, and counts subpoenaing the president of the United States among his most impactful career moments.

Having practiced for more than three decades, Mr. Guthrie understands that white collar defense is a multifaceted practice that involves multiple areas of knowledge. As a result, he has built a team of forensic accountants, computer forensic experts, and investigators who were formerly special agents with the FBI and IRS to assist with his cases.

“This area of the law is as interesting as it is challenging – one month there might be an uptick in federal loan fraud, and the next you’re doing a deep dive on the nuances of health care regulations,” said Mr. Guthrie. “It’s ever-evolving, but after more than 30 years, I feel like I’ve seen it all, and I’m honored that my peers think highly enough of my work to select me for this recognition.”

Mr. Guthrie has successfully handled white collar defense cases for entrepreneurs; individuals; attorneys and law firms; medical providers, including doctors and hospital administrators; and large and small businesses across the country.

Super Lawyers selects attorneys using a patented multiphase selection process, which combines peer nominations and evaluations with independent research. No more than five percent of the total lawyers in every state are selected to the annual list.
